What you should know learn about me

¡Hola! I’m Laura, your Empathy Hacker.
I’m Colombian and currently live in Mexico. I speak Spanish and English (also some Italian, French and German). I have an undergrad in behavioral economics and a master’s degree in industrial engineering, but my true love has always been design. My style combines a human-centered approach and a systemic perspective.
I have over 8 years of experience in teaching, research, and consulting, so I bring a rare mix of academic and rigorous know-how, as well as practicality and creativity, to the world of design. I’ve worked with engineers, economists, lawyers, designers, developers, programmers, managers, and academics from all different kinds of backgrounds. My superpower? I bridge gaps between disciplines to ensure clear and effective communication across disciplines, teams, and cultures.
I embody the role of a product design leader throughout the entire lifecycle (from strategic concept to shipping). I enjoy collaborating from strategy and the very definition of the problem, to crafting high-fidelity delightful prototypes, to finally seeing the product interact with real users, and every step in between.
When I’m not immersed in the design universe, you’ll catch me practicing yoga, watching movies, savoring a slice of pizza, or sharing playful moments with my three cats (if you scroll around you might find them!).
